Why do I need an Inspection?

Glad you asked…!

In most cases an RV is going to be one of the most, if not the most, expensive investment that you make in your lifetime, outside of a typical home of course.

A motorhome, 5-th wheel, travel trailer, camper, or any RV, is your ‘home on wheels.’ Whether you are planning on full timing or being the weekend warrior, you want to ensure that your RV is ready for the road and will safely transport you, your family and your friends.

The purchase of an RV is much like purchasing a home, and you wouldn’t purchase a home without an inspection, right? It has all of the same components (a roof, heating and air conditioning, plumbing, etc.) but it comes in a smaller package. And if it is a motorhome you are also adding all of the components of a vehicle (chassis, engine, brakes, tires, etc.) Just think of all of the possibilities for there to be some defects that may not be readily apparent to the untrained eye.

A full and proper inspection by a trained NRVIA inspector is your first defense against purchasing something that is, or potentially is, going to cost you a lot more than you had expected and/or that you are going to regret. A third-party, unbiased inspection will give you the peace of mind on your investment.

Buying an RV? There are a lot of similarities between an RV and your home.

Selling your RV?

AN INSPECTION ISN'T JUST FOR BUYERS! Having a third-party, unbiased inspection will give potential buyers the peace of mind that you truly care about them and believe in what you are selling. If the inspection is ‘clean’ then it give you leverage in your asking price. If there are any concerns uncovered in the inspection it would give you the opportunity to a) address those issues and be able to show potential buyers what work you have had done on it or b) have the report available to potential buyers and simply make them fully aware of what will/might need to be worked on if they chose to purchase it as-is.
